WASHINGTON D.C. MURAL
I pitched for a mural job for Moxy Hotels at a new hotel. The brief was to capture the vibe of Washington D.C. and the Dada art movement for Moxy Washington D.C. Downtown.
The wall is built up of a mixture of painting, photography and typography. The purple colour has been used to link to the Moxy brand colours, along with red and blue tones that are influenced from the USA flag. The photography will be wallpaper pasted on to the wall with paint being used underneath and on top. It will be built up in layers with some imagery being cut-out and others being ripped as shown on the artwork. The imagery has been influenced by the historical culture of Washington DC whilst also including the play on attitude of Moxy hotels. The work takes influence from the DADA style and will really punch out at the guests with it being on such a big wall space.
